Whisky No.9 12F and Whisky No.9 24F Carbon Drop Handlebars

Hazard: The handlebars can crack where the brake/shift levers are installed and cause a crash, posing an injury hazard

Recalled Product: Whisky No.9 12F and Whisky No.9 24F Carbon Handlebars

Remedy: Stop using these handlebars immediately and take your handlebars to a Whisky Parts Co. retailer for a free installation of a replacement carbon handlebar or an alternative aluminum handlebar.

Q: What products are subject to this recall?

A: QBP is recalling all Whisky No.9 12F and Whisky No.9 24F Carbon Handlebars that were delivered to retailers beginning in January 2018 through August 2022.

Q: Why is QBP conducting this recall?

A: After receiving reports of some of these handlebars cracking/fracturing where the brake/shift levers are installed, we entered into a Voluntary Recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada to recall these products so we can keep consumers safe from a potential crash hazard.

Q: How can I tell if my handlebar is affected by this recall?

A: The model name (No. 9 12F or No. 9 24F) is located on the front handlebar on the non-drive side area of the stem clamp. See images below.

Q: What should I do if I have a handlebar subject to this recall?

A: Please immediately stop using the handlebar and contact your local Whisky Authorized Retailer to arrange for a free handlebar replacement.

Q: My handlebar appears to be fine. Can I continue to use it?

A: No. Even through your product appears to be safe, we are asking all customers to immediately stop using the handlebars and participate in the recall by bringing the handlebar to their local Whisky Authorized Retailer for a free replacement.

Q: I no longer have the receipt for my Whisky No.9 12F or Whisky No.9 24F Carbon Handlebar. Can I still receive a free replacement handlebar?

A: Yes. You can still arrange for a free handlebar replacement through your local Whisky Authorized Retailer.
