Whisky No.9 36w carbon wheels are made for all-around trail riding and off-road touring, striking a balance between width and weight. No.9 36w rims have a 30mm internal width to fit a wide range of modern mountain bike tires. These wide rims give a broad base for the tire casing to support side knobs better and provide comfort through volume. These wheels feature hookless beads for easy tubeless set up and impact resistance.
Whisky wheels are laced, tensioned, and hand-finished in Minnesota, where our experts have decades of experience building wheels one spoke at a time. Every wheel we sell comes with Whisky tubeless valves and tape in the box. And we’ve chosen each component with a focus on performance, reliability and serviceability.
36w wheels use DT Swiss 350 hubs, which are well-known for their balance of performance, weight and tool-free serviceability. DT Competition spokes set the light-weight standard for wheel builders. We chose traditional, j-bend spokes and brass nipples for their durability and serviceability. Both are readily available at your local bike shop and ensure easy maintenance.
